Pimp My Boat

You’ve heard of Pimp My Ride, but what about Pimp My Boat?

Pimp My Boat is a new reality TV show that I’ve conceptualised. The idea came to me when I was hanging out with the local fishermen and they were talking about how excited they were to make upgrades to their boats. Their boats range from small dinghy looking things, to big yachts that would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. In the TV show, I’d pimp out all types of boats.

The small dinghies would get pretty basic upgrades, such as brand new stainless steel snapper racks or new bow rails. This would increase the value of the dinghies tenfold, without being too much for the size of the boat. I’m sure dinghy owners don’t expect that much anyway, so it would be mutually beneficial for both the TV show and the owner.

For the more extravagant and high budget episodes, I’d pimp out yachts. These yachts would get expensive upgrades on all the basics, including your average marine stainless fabrication. Melbourne yacht owners are a class above the rest, and so I’d make sure to deliver much more than that.

Each yacht would have its very own dance floor, bar and outdoor lounge area built into the indoor and outdoor areas. The yachts would progress from simple living areas to a full-blown party palace, just like the contestants on Pimp My Boat would like. The episodes would get such good ratings that I would be able to expand the TV show after the first season.

I’m going to pitch my idea to the local TV station at the beginning of the next financial year. I’m going to come up with all the figures, the market research and source the contestants all before my meeting, so that I know I’ve put my best foot forward on the day. I’m sure they’ll love the idea.
